It's amazing how time flies and it's coming to the end of yet another soccer season. Must admit that I've hardly caught any matches this season, but hopefully I can catch more matches this coming World Cup. No prizes which country I'll be rooting.
On another note, it's really interesting on how the international press portrays Singapore. The articles received in the FMS group is just the tip of the iceberg. The way Singapore or our government is portrayed is as though we come from some dictatorship. It's really amazing how they pick and "censor" certain details, resulting in what I would deem as half truths. The feel that one gets is that in Singapore, we'll get "silenced" for the slightest thing we do. It's no wonder that people here always have the misconception that we can get fined or jailed for chewing on chewing gum. I think that everything is just so blown out of proportion. Best way to know the stance of the papers is to really read all their articles pertaining to Singapore. Some of them in my opinion is completely anti-Singapore and trying to make their readers detest us.
