Must also add this thing. The PRCs talk damn loudly! We're in the library now and they're talking at the top of their voices. So much so that people are all looking at them. When I mean loud, it's really loud. People in markets do not even talk that loud even if it's very noisy. They also pick up their phones in lectures. Yes, it rings aloud too.

At last, internet connection. Never knew that I could be so hard up for internet. Am now in the UQ library and must say that it's quite a pleasant place to be in. Yes, I know it sounds geeky but hey.

Brisbane's a pretty nice place but it's very hot now. The temperature on the first day was 39 degrees and that was in the shade so you can imagine. Looking for houses here is a bitch cos we literally have to walk in the hot sun to find the place. Temp lodging is also damn ex so we're hoping that we can find a perm place soon.

We also saw the PRCs in action. Man they are competitive. What happened was that we were at a talk and they told us how we could get our password. The moment the talk ended, the PRCs rushed in front of us to get to the place first. The girl even looked back to make sure we didn't run after them. Come on, it's just a password. You can get it anytime lor.

Transportation here is not too bad, pretty neat. Today we took the city cat which is essentially a ferry. Super fast. The buses and train network here is not too bad too but waiting time for the former can be a bitch.

Peoplewise, the folks here are generally friendly and willing to help us. When we looked lost, people will actually come up to ask us if eveything is fine. One thing that I can't stand is that the quite a few Asians here try to speak with an Aussie accent. Damn fake lor. Even the PRCs are doing it so you can imagine how funny it is.

Thing good about here is that it's a light heaven. In the photography sense that is. The sun is so strong that I can actually shoot 1/8000 at ISO 200. The clear sky also makes a super backdrop.
