It's a real fine line between excuses and reasoning. And I think we humans are probably always taking the easy way out and just brushing aside reasons as excuses. I wouldn't deny the fact that there are indeed many cases where people make excuses to cover up for something. But that doesn't take away the fact that there are people who have genuine reasons. Why can't we all just put ourselves into the shoes of others and see things from their perspective. Maybe than would there be lesser conflicts. Maybe only.

A phrase that irritates the shit out of me is when people snap this line, "So yes or no?" Fuck, you mean this world is so simple as yes or no. That statement is so judgemental. I think these people must have watched far too much court scenes on TV. This relates back to my earlier point, how can we just make a judgement by a yes no answer and not hear the reason for it? This could be an explanation why we live in a society where the end product is more important than the process or concept. Screw it if the concept of say this picture is very strong. What matters most is that it looks good. If the yes no question holds water, than it should be used in all incidents. Imagine this guy who foils a hijacking incident by killing a hijacker. By right he should be brought to trial. Why? Let me ask you some questions. Is it a crime to kill? The answer would probably be yes. Did the guy kill [the hijacker]? Yes. Is killing a human punishable by law? Yes too. So in that context, the would be hero have justice served out on him.

Why than would the above scenario be logical? It's only in the absence of reasoning. When there's reasoning (or what most people would consider as excuses) it can be seen that he saved lives. So isn't than reasoning important? So do think twice before you make such fucked up statements like "Or I want to know is yes or no." Fuck, the world doesn't revolve around this fucked up logic.

I think that human sacrifices do still exist in this world and right here in Singapore. But of course it's in a figurative manner. How so? This would happen when we put aside the welfare of others to satisfy our own needs. It's basically putting up someone for sacrifice in order to save our sorry asses. How often have we seen people backstab or bad mouth others so as to gain benefits for themselves? How often have we seen superiors undermine their subordinates so as to prevent them from overtaking them? Come on, if you're fucked up, face it. If the young punk or old folk can be better than you. Face it. Don't be a pussy and play the sacrificial game called office politics.

Really liked the article in today's Life section on why people don't like to hire old people. Personally think that it's very true. Not only old people, feel also that people don't like to hire people who are more qualified than them simply because they've some low self esteem. They're afraid of being outshone by those higher qualified. Some people might brush it aside and say it's the survival of the fittest. Let me ask you this - really?
