A reason to drink... even more

Was pleasantly surprised to learn that Tiger beer won a gold medal. I knew that it was good but never that good. Hey Jos, Wil, Elwin, Jop now we got a another reason to drink, not that we needed any. Haha. The article was quite through when they mentioned that Singaproreans prefer lighter lagers. Probably that's why aprt from my bro, don't really have know anyone else around who like to drink Tiger. They have really made Singapore proud!

Rain
It's been so long since it has been raining like this. At least at my place. Kinda like the rain actually. Sitting at home just watching and hearing it pelt down is quite soothing especially when it's in the evening. Walking in the rain's not too bad too. Haha. Yea. Still remember Jacyn and Jolene running around in the rain and they were in Sec Four then? The two of them looked damn funny when they realised that it was raining and ran up the stairs of Suntec to the top of the Fountain of Wealth.

Twisted deja vu
That's how I call the collapse at Ayer Rajah. It's so ironic, sad and twisted that another building site has its collapsed over some reinforcement gave way. This time there are at this point one dead and five missing. Must Singapore do through such horror again? I sure hope it is not raining over at the worksite. Really cannot imagine the chaos it will cause. Stuck 30m under and seeing the water levels rise. I sure hope that there will be survivors. All the workers wanted was to come to Singapore to earn an honest's day of living. All they seeked was a better life for their families and even that they are denied.

A child's hope
Was reading the papers today and read about CNN documentry, Easy Prey:Inside the child sex trade. The writer said that it was quite skewed towards the gay child prostitution, but he went on saying that it might be because the maker wante dot show that not only young girls are at risk of child prostitution. How I agree with that view. It is heartenin to see someone actually coming out to talk about the gay child prostitution. At last someone makes a documentry on them. Not only are young girls suffering out there from the lust of some sick bastard but also young boys. What' wrong with these pedophiles? Why don't they just go drill some hole in the fucking all or dig some hole and fuck it. No one will care. Just leave these innocent children alone. It is bad that they are induced on drugs but by making them sell their bodies to support that habit, that's plain sick.

Passionate or are they just misguided?
It's unthinkable that again some bastard can brain wash innocent and gullible teens to be terrorist. Look at Thailand, youths trying to rob for weapons and end up being killed. How in the world did they believe that they stood a chance against bullets? Machetes are not going to prevent you from being killed by a rifle. And again, religion should never be brought it.

A weekend back at RCIY. Been so long since I last step back and when I went back on Saturday, the feeling is so different. I guess it's like going back to a place that holds so much memories. bumped intoDaffy too, though had quite expected to see her and man, really miss her so much. She's really one the nicest person around and a friend whom I can really trust. What was surprising was that I met Janet too! She claims that we have not met each other for almost two years! Was it that long? I really don't know, thought that it was only a year. O well, she hasn't change much but real nice to meet her again after so long.

Tomorrow morning's friendly between Italy and Spain will also be historic match. Hope it will not be simply because if it is, than the world will be poorer by having one less talent. Yup, it's supposed to Roberto Baggio's swansong as an Azzurri. I still feel that he has what it takes to represent Itay once again in a major tournament. Look if Di Viao can be in the team, than why not Baggio? He's certainly more consistent and has more guile to mastermind a victory. I'll be lying if I was to say that he can play the full 90 minutes in a level as high as Euro, but I certainly believe that he can make a difference in the last 15 to 30 minutes. He is certainly a player you can count on to win the game. If anyone who saw USA 94 will never forgot the penalty miss in the final, but who can forgot also the same man who strolled up to the spot in the same tournament four years later and scored from it. Football fans around the world literally had their hearts stopped, only to have it start when the ball was in the net. Afterall, who else can cause a riot for three days by his departure?

Sunday's San Marino was also a nostalgic event, why because it was 10 seasons ago when the F1 world lost one of their greatest drivers ever on that circuit. On that faithful day on May 1, 1994, a legend called Ayrton Senna had his life cut so tragically short when his car spun and crashed against the wall. Guess that image of his car crashing and spinning out of control is really very haunting. I some how hope that his record of 65 pole positions will not be broken. As one of his tribute sites put it - In Life Unbeatable - In Death Irreplaceable.
