Almost couldn't believe when I read this, Batistuta hopes for Olympic place. It really would be nice to see Batigol back in the Argentine jersey representing his country for one last time. Yes, the competition maybe predominantly U23 but that's the next best thing we can expect. Let's be realistic, at 35, it's certainly almost impossible to see Batigol in the national team anymore. But won't it be so nice to see a lengend playing for his county just one more time? This time it would be like a symbol of him leading the future of Argentine football. The better news is that Batigl has stated that he does intend to return to Fiorentina to end his career. The Prodigal Son may eventually return! Hope it will be soon.
