Has been a very stressful start to school in some or other I guess. The amount of assignments have just been building up. It seems like every week or should I say that every week there's a deadline. The Radio Heatwave thingy is also taking quite a bit out of me. Presenting in English is one thing, but presentin in Chinese is a whole new ball game. Don't know what to say about my new class. Seems like close but yet distant. Maybe its only the third week but must admit that had very interaction with half the class. Closer to people like Yah Yah, Grace, Stella, Pamela, Alicia, Pearly, Daniel, Eny and Mary. They are really very nice people who can really make your day but somehow still must adapt to a whole new class. Miss people like Penny, Keng, Brian, Melly, JY etc. Yea, may not had been very close to some of them but they are really very nice people. Some way or another, seems as if I've known them for so many years though known them for like 18 months. What's so nice about them? Penny's been such a wonderful little sister whom I know I can always confide in. Its been a super 18 months being a classmate with her. Yea, she's so wonderful one way or another. Keng's been such a sweet classmate. Any person is just so lucky to have him as a friend. Brian's the same. Always a listening ear whom you can depend on for advice. Melly's a person whom you always hope will be around. She's another person whom you can always talk to and someone whom you can really depend on. JY's personality is one of a kind and she's so special because of that. A person whose reaction at times is just so out of this world and her maternity instinct makes her so unique and wonderful! Man, really miss the guys!
O yah. Happy Chinese New Year to all!

Happy that Yah Yah did so well last sem! Not to mention so damn proud of her too! She's one heck of a smart girl! Big winners, no prizes for guessing who. Yup, Gary and Alvin Pang. The twin terrors. Haha. Congrats also to Joy and Michelle for being top for Web Design and French. Congrats!
Australian Open this year is such a delight to watch. Now when I'm home and not doing anything, will be just enjoying the matches. Its like almost 24 hrs entertainment. Haha. Let's see, who were the players that stood out today? Ashley Harkleroad despite losing or should I say being thrashed by Venus Williams did stand out. Her strokes on certain occasions were just brilliant. Had her opponent not been Venus, she probably would have gone through. The player with the most grit would be Cecil Mamiit for his spirit for not giving up immediately despite having his foot caught between the umpire's chair and the ground at almost full force. He eventually retired but hey, just for the will to play on after the collision, he gets my vote.
The most outstanding player would be no other than Mark Philippoussis. When Sampras retired, I never thought that any other player would be capable of dishing out such amazing serve and volley tennis. That was exactly what Philippoussis did. He played like a man possessed. A man who played with so much concentration and determination. His opponent is the respectable Thomas Johansson who won the Australian Open in 2002, but Philippoussis showed the rest of the players that he is back with a vengence. Yes, towards the end he did show a glimpse of his old self, the Philippoussis who would buckle under stress. He did drop a serve when it seemed that he could do no wrong, but he showed the new him in the tie break. Now, if Philippoussis can continue his form and not burn out. I suspect he still is not mentally strong enough to last more than three sets, but if he can prove me otherwise than I firmly believe that he is a strong contender. If he can keep up his level of game today, the rest of the players better beware cos I really do not see anyone capable of beating the Philippoussis of today. So now to see is the old Philippoussis has indeed been replaced.
