Had a massive hooha with Elwin last night. We were supposed to meet at 11.30 today to play mahjong but dunno why I thought it was last night. So I told Jo that it was last night and we went ot his place only to find out that he was at the Padang! Blur me, made such a big blunder! In the end Jo and I went to AMK's snookerium to play pool. Today we woke up early to go Elwin's place to play mahjong. We started at 12.30pm and played right through to 8.30pm. Man, 8 hours of mahjong! Went to dinner with Will and Jo. Thanks Will for the treat! And thanks Jo for fetching and sending me back yesterday and today. So sorry about last night.

Going to rest well tonight and start doing research for Comm Iss tomorrow. Not to forget want to finish up "The Vagina Monologues" by tomorrow too.

Man, Monday is going to be a sad day for the tennis world. With Pete Sampras announcing his retirement, it marks the end of an era. A beautiful and wonderful era. Been a great fan of him since I don't know when. Will really miss his serve and volley. Many players have tried to mimick his style but no one has really been consistently successful. Got a feeling that the reception where he will be officially announcing his retirement, it will be a very moving scene. Think all will be touch and no doubt tears will follow. With him leaving, it only leaves Andre Agassi in the circuit from that era. The rest are all in semi retirement mood.

Was in shocked when I read about Leander Paes in hospital with some brain illness. He was due to renew his partnershp with Mahesh Bhupathi at this year's US Open. They are truely Asia's pride and jou in tennis. Who would have thought that two Indian nationals would actually conquer the men's doubles. They showed true chemistry and grit to give the Woodies a run for their money. Who would have thought that they would actually split on very bad terms?? The best part of their story was them playing again in this year's Open but fate has indeed been very cruel on them. Why now?? Why Leander Paes now?? At a time when they can do India and Asia proud. As today's report states that India will be praying for Leander Paes, I'm sure Asia will too. Hoepfully he will be another Lance Armstrong and comeback stronger after terminal illness. Leander, I'm sure you so us proud once more. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Suzanne Walker is in the papers too this time about her new band. So unexpecting how her life has turned out to be. Who would have ever thought that she would have ended up so broke. Marriage split, child no longer with her and dead broke. Her courage to even continue living has made me respect her. Thought she was a very good DJ all the long but now knowing her life a bit more has made me even respect her more. With seemingly everything you lived for gone, it takes lots of courage to just continue and live on is what exactly she is doing! A true fighter and woman.

Dinner was a weird event. Felt quite distant from Charlene, weird that we have not met fo so long but still have so little to talk about. We did talk about the old days etc but that was abut it. Found out that studying in Canada was not that expensive. Bit my lip while having dinner ouch.

Realised that there were so many crows that nested in the hill opposite AMK MRT station. Saw at least 100 of them flying around before nesting. The whole sky can be said to be covered by them. Seemed like the bats in LXG. The oddest thing was this crow landed on the bars next to the tracks with a thud, hit the metal on the track and fell on the track. It struggled upside down for a while than stopped moving. Less than 2 minutes later a train came. When it left, the train was gone. Elwin and I was expecting to see a mangled carcass but nothing was there. I think either the trained dragged it away or it was sliced into two and the halves could not be seen by us. Unlikely that it flew away cos it was still on its back when the train came and it had struggled to get up. Either it was struck by something in flight or it had an electric shock.

Met Gary, Pam and Ling on the way back. O yah, not to mention Tian too. happy birthday Tian!

Been a rough two days. Was blogging about how bad my bus ride was to school and my blog window just shut hence losing all the stuff that I blogged. About the bus trip, I dropped my phone a few times and needed a kind soul to help me pick it up from beneath my seat. Did the PR test and left certain parts of the format out. Today while replying to Penn's survey, I accidently sent it out to the entire class. Sheesh. Really hope that none of my classmates will understand what I said about people who think of themselves as being high and mighty. I dunno why but have this lingering feeling that some misunderstanding will arise. Hoping its ust the worried side of me. So if any of you read this entry and my explanation on another email, please understand that I am really not referring to anyone in my class.

Meeting Charlene and some of the guys later, man, have not met Charlene since collecting the results or earlier so yea, going to be quite a reunion. Sadly none of my JC class girls will be going, don't know why too but guess that's just my JC class girls. Hope the next time we have a reunion more people will turn up. Hoping though that Shawnna will turn up. Man, I really miss her. She's one of the nicest people I know.

Stupid tagboard, keep having that irritating error msg and blogger too. Dunno why but at times cannot see my blog. Penn was telling me too that she can't see anything, so if you guys can see this post, please leave a msg oki? So I know if my blog is visible again. Thanks guys! Got to run or will be late. Blog later. Tata!

Want to know why the world really hates US? Go to the links below. Think the 1st link is enough to bring up the blood pressure of some of you. The remaining links are with regards to 2 shows about US issues. 1 is 9-11-01. The show I that caught at the film fest and was so impressed. 11 shows in it by 11 different film makers and how their tthoughts on 9/11. Each show is 11 minutes, 9 seconds and 1 frame long. The 2nd show is Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine", winner of this year's Oscars for Best Documentary. Bowling for Columbine is about the Columbine incident. What do the sites tell you? From what I gather is that Americans are faultess and their suffering is more than anyone in the world. If America suffers, the whole world must pity them but if the world suffers, it is never greater than that of America. What they do is always right and if anyone tells them otherwise, they ought to be condemned. Keng, I'm sure the last link will interest you cos its about Micahel Moore. Remember you telling me how much you admire him and all. I hold him in high regards too but obviously the writer thinks otherwise. I know that not all Americans think like those people of those sites but in my opinion, those writers are just over biggoted. They really got to learn that Americans are not the best in the world and that their snobbish views will just make people hate them more. They really got to sit down and think about what why people hate them so much and do something about it. The whole fucking world does not revolve around them. They really got to start accepting other people's views and understand why they feel that way rather than brushing aside that person's words and condemn that person.

Been a weird weird day today. Could not seem to concentrate on anything. Was in a dazy mood when I woke up than on the way to school. Not so bad in school but still felt that I was not very myself. A bombshell was dropped too during school, think only Penn and Yah Yah will understand it cos we discussed about it at canteen 1. Came home also blur blur and misheard what Pearly said and gave a stupid answer. Came home only to realise that my parents did not prepare dinner for me cos they thought I was going to going out to makan with them. And my sis dunno why came home with Amanda Ho. Yea, that former actress and I was a bit surprised that she still remembers who I am. Not feeling myself again, yes I know I'm repeating myself but yea.

How could I forget what happened in Comm Iss. Watched this cartoon called "Grave of the fireflies". A touching show but I was more struck by the slideshow that he showed. It was with regards to the Iraq war. Was telling Penny that I had an ambition to be one of those people to bring in medical aid to refugees and war victims etc. Guess its not really possible now with me studying Mass Comm and being tuned to begin the rat race. I told myself that I will nt succumb to the rat race but as time goes past, feel that I'm just being dragged into it and that is freaking me out, big time.

really do not know why but movies these days are making female vampires look so attractive. Went to watch LXG today and Peta Wilson looked so good! She played Mina Harker and was in my opinion the coolest character. Allan Quatermain played by Sean Connery was not too bad a character too. Really like his hunter instincts. The other vampire that I find very attractive is Selene from Underworld played by none other than Kate Beckinsle!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, for those who do not know it yet I really like Kate Beckinsale. Was telling Jo how attractive I find her to be. Something like Peta Wilson, that mature women aura they emit. Sorry Jo, cos didn't know my sis lent the VCD out.

I'm really getting quite pissed by my Contemporary Issues lecturer and thye way he pokes fun at the 4 girls is not helping much. He indirectly called them brainless today and as usual, he will make them the butt of the joke. In Pearlyn's words is that "he is so corny". Fully agree with her, initally we laughed along with him but the way he continued made us all stop laughing and feel disguested over his actions. He really crossed the fucking line! Luckily my IFP lecturer is much better.
