Came back from the National Schools Wushu Championship. Quite impressed by it. Was surprised that neither Chinese High or Hwa Chong are considered hot favourites. Best part was Hwa Chong actually used Japanese music for one of their rounds. Could not help but smile at the irony. China and Japan was never in good terms and martial arts was probably than used to fend of the Japanese and here you are, trying to infuse your "enemy's" work in our own. They got think the lowest score. Ngee Ann won a gold medal there though the NP team was very small. Kudos to them.
Weird thing happened yesterday. Was at mass with my Godma and one of new members the youth group actually thought that she's my gf. Haha. Yea, my Godma is young but not that young. Best part was that she was not the 1st person to ask. As far as I rememebr, quite a few peopl had asked us before. Haha.

Back from dinner with my Godma and Godsis. Been quite a while since I saw my Godsis, think was Easter. Glad to meet her and catch up with her. Had a good dinner at Bugis, nice food and quite reasonable the pricve. Found out from my Godma that Karol is now in my former youth group. What a small world dear. Was quite shocked to hear that. Now she's the 2nd MCMer in my church youth group in our lecture group. The 1st being Melissa Yeo. O well, really a small small world. Meeting my Godma for mass tomorrow, yea! Yea, she was thinks that I'll only go church with her if Daffy can't make it! NO WAY! That's totally not true Godma!
Also found out that I'm super blur now. My Godma was at Bugis MRT station control, I walked through there looked for a while and could not see her. Than again at the toilet, she and my Godsis walked out and I did not see though I was looking in that direction. Sheesh. And I got no idea why in the world I tried to squeeze between 2 chairs. In the end I think I kind of startled the 2 people sitting on the chair. It was so embarassing.
Bumped into Pony today. Been quite a while since I last met her. Amazing that the nickname stuck on for so long, ever since 1st 3 months, I've been so used to calling her Pony that it just stuck on. She's working with mental patients now, think thw job really suits her cos she's so caring and patient. A great person to do social work.
Realised that that these days my mind will just go gaga and I'll just repeat that same thing over. So apologise to the people whom have thouht why I repeated something I just said a few minutes ago. Weird, just so weird. Can't remember certain things that just happen a while ago too. Arghz, seem to be losing my memory. Sigh. Or is it just my STM getting from bad to worse? Haiz, whatever!

Knew that Raul is Spain and Real's Golden Boy, but never knew he had so much power and say within Real. He can truely be considered a player who is bigger than his club. All transfer and club decisions must go through Raul 1st. If Raul is not happy with it, than the club will abide by his preference. It was reported that Beckham's transfer was only possible after consulting Raul. Along with his supermodel wife, Mamen Sanz, they are fast becoming the people's Royal Couple, upstaging even the king and queen. Wow, that is truely amazing considering he is not even the club captain. Poor Hierro, a captain only by name. His vice captain has more say than him. Best part of all is that despite his fame and all, Raul seems appears to be so humble and no doubt loving. He kisses his wedding ring everytime he scores ago which by now we all know is very often. Also he is a very quiet person, a man of few words. Indeed he has shown the world that his success is shown on the pitch itself; he lets his footabll do the talking.

A lesson I learnt this hols so far is that I've changed. No longer do I always need to go out. In th past, you can never make me sit still at home. Maybe its what I've been trained in army; to sit at one place and do work or in front of the computer for hours without feeling drained or stressed out. Well, so far, I'm not complaining.

Had this thought that kept popping in my head. Guess its because of all the people especially children killed in the Israel and Palestinian. I was thinking how I'll reflect it on film. I'll have a father having a nightmare about his children being killed. He wakes up from that dream in cold sweat. Than he decides to check out his children. He walks to their room and sees them sleeping soundly. He smiles lovingly and slowly closes the door. Just as he shuts door, there is loud and strong explosion that knocks him off his feet and the camera slowly fades out. Sounds of hysterial, panic and emergency workers can be heard and the camera slowly fades in. The father wakes up to find that where his children once were sleeping are now in a rumble. Despite his wounds, he staggers to the rubble and digs frantically with his bare hands, in hope of finding his children.
Well, just an idea. Anyway, was watching Jeff Corwin's Experience and must say that for a person doing documentries, I was quite disappointed by his handling if wildlife. I mean that he should bot even be touching the wildlife let alone plucking the wild berries to eat and picking salmon out of the water. Does he not know that all wildlife lovers have this unspoken rule that all wildlife should be left alone. What kind of example is he setting? That it is alright to go into a nature reserve to pluck fruits to eat? Isn't that something that is to be frowned upon? Come on, don't say plucking fruits. Just by walking along the beach and crossing the path of a where a baby turtle might pass is already a hinderance. Simply because the footprints that we make will pose an obstacle to the hatchlings, which may cause them their lives. But some good things Jeff Corwin pointed out where things like black bears are not agressive by nature and that they will rather run than enter a confrontation with humans.

Amazing. The Beckham saga actually topped the agenda of the ST News. Main story and it was read the 1st thing it started and even before the news about SIA retrenching workers. Amazing. Well, the whole incident to me seems like Becks is doing it all to spite Man U. Maybe he really felt threatened by all the reports or maybe he got tired of Fergie's nagging and disapproval of his lavish lifestyle. But Real, wow. The team that Man U and Fergie probably considers the main obstacle to their European dream; Fergie's ultimate dream, another chance of European glory. Moreover, Beckham went there sacraficing some his image rights and a lower pay than Barca. All these meant that he gave up quite a bit to go to Real. Maybe its the pull of playing in Europe's most successful club but poor Barca, they made the Beckham saga a reality but lost the forbidden fruit to their sworn enemy. First it was Figo and now him. What's next? Apparently Barca wants Ronaldino. Man U wants him too. But he wants Real. As some reports have said, Real is now truely a dream team. With an attack force of Raul, Zidane, Figo, Beckham and supported by players like Carlos, that certainly is formidable, but if you are to ask me, Real is not sort of attackers (as some critics will tell ya) but their biggest problem is in defence. With an aging defence, its definitely the weakest link. Players and Hierro the Mighty Mouse and Helgera are really aging and are losing their pace to the demands of the modern game. Even Carlos, at times he simply forgets that he is a defender and is unable to come back at the most crucial of moments. But so how or other, Real usually bails itself out by attacking and controlling the buying scene. My campmate's theory about Real's strategy? Since I cannot beat my rivals, I'll just buy their main players in hope of destablising them. Nevermind if they cost a bomb or I may not need them, at most I'll just bench them and sell them after they lose their midas touch. What about Man U? One thing I've learnt about the, over the years is that they have proven that theres is no one player cannot be replaced. Great players like Bryan Robson, Steve Bruce, Paul Ince, Peter Schmeichel, Gary Pallister, Lee Sharpe, Andrei Kanchelskis, Mark Huges, Eric Cantona, Denis Irwin etc have come and gone, some at the time when Man U seemed to have needed them like anything and Man U survived and came out stronger. Times may have changed but one thing never change about Man U and that is that they have got a wonderful youth system that produced, yes players like Beckham.
Another day at home lazing. Was to have gone to watch Hulk and go Mambo, but Elwin fell sick so yea, stayed at home. No regrets, guess geting a bit old of chionging, maybe its a sign for me to stop. Haha. Bumped in to Kejia at lunch. Realised that I've done quite some driving this hols so far. Dad sometimes make me drive. Good too cos as some of ya have know, I've been quite freaked out by driving of late and needed someone to be by myside when I drive; so yea, Dad fits perfectly in the picture. Was watching No Place Like Home, quite cheesy initally but as usual, it ended thoughtfully. Richmond acted in it too and they used NP. Realised that each episode of No Place Like Home is filmed by different production houses! Way to go MDA!

Ang Sin Sing is taking us next sem for PR. Wow. Quite stunned cos I thought that she'll only be teaching us in yr 3. Well the fuzz for me is because she's my Sec 4 teacher's sister. She kept asking me to say hi to Ms Ang ever since she knew I was in MCM and I always gave the same excuse "She's not teaching me this sem". Hmm. Wonder what she's like. My Sec 4 teacher is like one of the best but scariest teachers I ever had. She was the only teacher who could keep my super rebellious class in check. Only in her lesson will you hear the sound of the fan. Is she fierce? Ok, but when she scolds you, she can hit the spot where it hurts most. The most memorable incident was once she was facing the board and writing on it. I sat in the 2nd last row of the classroom so I was very far from her. I whispered to my friend sitting next to me and he could bearly hear me speak, but my teacher, even without turning around just said, "Alvin, stop talking." At the end of the lesson, the person sitting directly in front of me turned around and asked me if I was really talking. Yup, she's taht freaky. She along with 2 other female teachers wer nicknamed the 3 witches like i Macbeth. Joseph till today still wonders is she still "floats" past classes. Haha. Its because she can walk past classes without us knowing and is you looking through the windows we had in Cat High, she really seems like she's floating. So if Ms Ang is anything like her sis, man, we are in for a solid time and no, I'm not being sarcastic. My Sec 4 teacher is really wonderful and is a person that we all grew to love and respect!

AK's version of Last Christmas rocks big time. Got to admit that their cover is better than Wham's. Slower and with more feelings. Those kind of song that while you are hearing it, you'll just go... wow.

Watched Finding Nemo and Brue Almighty today. Yes, I know that I said I did not want to watch Bruce Almighty but after hearing what Keng and Elwin had to say about the show, decided to watch it. Yup, apart from the opening scene in which I found it very lame, thr remainder of the show was not too bad and rather heart warming. Had quite a few values behind the show too. Now I know why Sherrie watched Finding Nemo twice. Yup, it was good and very meaningful. A gem by Pixar, again. After watching the trailers, can't wait for Sinbad and another cartoon (can't remember the name of it. Arghz. My STM is coming back) to come out.
While waiting for the show to star, was at Ezone. Wings wanted to play VS but there was these 2 kids playing on it. So we waited and after 1 had lost, both did not move off the machine at all and seemed to be playing!! But the screen showed that player 1 was the computer!! So we walked back and forth and was wondering if our eyes were playing tricks on us and there was this other guy who looked at us and smiled in wonder too. So finally Wings approached the boy on player 1 to ask is he was playing and he just looked up and left. Haha. Kids these days.
